My passion for design started at a young age when I would visit my grandparents. They lived in a quaint little home in Annapolis, MD that my grandfather built with his own hands. My grandparents lived very simply and they did not have cable TV until I was much older, but my grandmother collected home and garden magazines. So when I would visit, I entertained myself by pouring over her magazines, clipping out the pages to create my dream home catalog.
Little did I know, I was actually developing a portfolio. 

As I became more in love with design

during high school and college, I worked for both residential and commercial design firms in Maryland. Learning the ins and out of the industry, I developed my own aesthetic and created a buying guide for quality, fresh products. I loved the business side of design as much as the creative side. After graduating with honors, I founded Hardie Design in 2010. Soon after, I married my sweet husband Chip. We moved up and down the East coast while he served in the Navy as a Submarine Officer. I moved my business, even opening a shop, all while serving clients within each community we lived. My favorite part of the business is getting to know my clients and how they live in their homes and communities.

Currently, we are settled in a gorgeous 1940's colonial home in the Philadelphia suburbs with our daughter, Olivia, and dog, Ellie, and frequently visit our hometown Annapolis.
